The Halo World and Xbox

I was pondering while I should have been slaying..... where would xbox be
without Halo 1, 2 and soon to be 3???
Honestly, I don't think there would have ever been a xbox360 if Halo was
never made. Since the first box suffered a huge loss finnacially, image the
devistating loss it would have suffered if not for halo......
I for one would probably not have bought an xbox in the first place since my
sole reason for buying one was because of halo.
And to think, it was a little known comany called Bungie which I believe,
saved Microsofts arse!

Although LIVE might have been a saving point.......

Yes, but you can say that honestly with any incarnation of consoles.

Nintendo, wouldnt have made it without the likes of Tetris and Mario (with
its hypnotic music that says play me more)

Sega, wouldn't have made it to the Deamcast without the Sonic title.

Sony, again Metal Gear Solid, Gran Tourismo

And Yes Microsoft, Halo (As you point out).

Again though, the only marketing video I've seen for the PS3 is Metal Gear
Solid. Which isn't even running on the PS3. So you see each manufacture has
its own calling card.

I think the reason why Halo has been such a sucess is that Bungie have got a
fantastic story line, and some brilliant movies within the Halo games.

Personally, I cant stand Halo (or Gaylo as I like to call it! :) ) Didn't
stop me buying an Xbox or a 360. I was a VERY LATE adopter to the Xbox
though, got my first about 14 months ago. PS2 - I got my first 6 months ago
for R Type 3 and I have hardly touched the machine.
